Revolut launches free business banking accounts

The firm has been looking to quickly scale its business customers by appealing to small companies and startups, including a partnership with WeWork.

Banking challenger Revolut has made a further push into the business banking space, having already clocked up 100k business customers, by launching two business account plans with zero monthly subscription fees.

Aimed at start-ups with global ambitions, as well as freelancers Revolut for Business is also changing the pricing structure of existing accounts and the news comes on the back of a recent partnership with WeWork, a further demonstration of its push into the small business world.

James Gibson, Product Owner at Revolut for Business said:

“We understand first-hand how frustrating it can be for ambitious entrepreneurial businesses to get the support they need to kick off their journey to success. Using our own experience, we’ve developed a brand new free offering which will save our customers time, money and give them the flexibility and control they need to operate both locally and globally. Our businesses are the beating heart of the economy and we’re so excited to be able to do our bit to support them.”

Revolut for Business launched in 2017 and now has more than 100,000 businesses at customers in the UK and Europe.
